About

It started as a joke at a conference

We’d love to tell you SaaSarazzi was the product of a strategic offsite, a North Star metric, and a 47-slide deck. It wasn’t. It was a bit — the kind you make in the back row of a SaaS conference when the third keynote in a row promises to “redefine the category.”

Someone said the SaaS world deserved its own gossip rag. A paparazzi for software. We laughed. Then we couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Then it turned into something we actually care about

Here’s the thing we didn’t expect: SaaS marketing is tiring. The relentless LinkedIn theatre, the “we’re a family” all-hands, the launches that have to be the biggest launch in company history every single quarter. People in this industry are good, smart, and quietly exhausted.

So SaaSarazzi grew up a little. It’s still a joke — but it’s a joke for you. A place to read something on a Tuesday that makes you laugh instead of anxious. A small, weekly bit of light for people who spend their days making other companies look good. If we can hand a tired marketer thirty seconds of “oh thank god, someone said it” — that’s the whole mission.

What’s real and what’s a joke

We label it, on purpose. Anything tagged CAUGHT is satire — invented for your amusement. Anything tagged THE BOOKS, LEAKED, INTERVIEW or THE FLASH is real reporting. We never blur the line, because the joke only works if you can trust the parts that aren’t one.

The money bit (we mean this)

We’re not building a unicorn here. We’re trying to make your Tuesday funnier.

If SaaSarazzi ever makes money — a sponsorship, the odd ad, a tip jar — that money goes to charity. Not to a founder’s wrist, not to a seed round, not to a rooftop offsite. We’ll name the causes publicly and show where it went. Bringing a bit of joy and light into a tired corner of the internet is the return we’re after. Anything else gets paid forward.

Who’s behind it

A small newsroom of entirely real, definitely-not-made-up journalists — Saaskia Stirthepot (Editor-at-Large), Penny Burnrate (The Books), Cara Boardroom (Interviews), Matt Rumour, and The Desk (everything we can’t put a name to yet).

Built and run by the team at Brainy Bees.
